My name is Fatih Takmakli. I am Turkish and I live in America. I reside in Chicago but my fatherland is Istanbul. I am here for my education. I love cruise ships and other kind ships.

I went to Yamanlar High School for six years but I graduated from St. Patrick High School. I preferred to finish high school in USA because I wanted to improve my English. If I were not graduated from high school in USA, my college would be longer than now. I go to Loyola University, Chicago and I am freshman. I have traveled on the different ships three times. I have been in T.D.I Akdeniz, which is a belonging to Turkish Maritime Lines. It was like a dream. I traveled with my uncle and cousin. My love for ships started when I was six, in Kusadasi. My parents have a summerhouse in Kusadasi, which is near Kusadasi port. When I was younger, my parents did not let me play with other kids. I was very bored and I was always in home, until one day when I was by the sea and I noticed ships passing. They interested me so much that I watched the ships pass by for hours and this was the beginning…Later I was so interested in ships and I watched ships for hours. Because of that ships become my biggest love.

My main ports are Kusadasi and Istanbul. I have taken more than 500 hundred ship pictures in different places which include: Kusadasi, Istanbul, Cesme, Bodrum, Antalya, Alanya, Fethiye, Marmaris, Dikilli, Aliaga, Tasucu, Gazimagusa, Girne, Messina, Rome, Athena, Mykonos, Santorini, Patmos and Itea.

As well, I have been in shipbrokers and shipyards. Aliaga is a famous shipbrokers location. I am planning to go on a cruise in December, between Miami and St. Juan.

I have more than 3000 ship pictures. I have exchanged more than 2500 ship pictures and I have taken more than 500 hundred-ship pictures in different places.
